Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) infrastructure hosted in the EU. We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Access to client data is restricted to authorised VELIO personnel only.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may process your personal data:

• Google Firebase — database, hosting, and authentication (Google LLC, USA)
• EmailJS — transactional email delivery
• Google Analytics — website traffic analysis (anonymised)

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy and appropriate data processing agreements.

Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your login state. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised usage statistics. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

Data Retention

We retain client account data for the duration of the business relationship and for up to 7 years thereafter for legal and financial record-keeping purposes. Shipment records are retained for 7 years. You may request deletion of your data subject to applicable legal requirements.

Under GDPR and applicable law, you have the right to:

As a global logistics provider, your data may be processed in countries outside the EU/EEA in connection with the delivery of your consignments. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any such transfers.
